Not sure how I forgot Stewart. He ran my brother over so hard back in the day. One of my buddies who played for Centralia made it on ESPN because he got run over twice by Stewart in the same playdnc said:
There's probably a decent argument at this point that the local 5 star QBs are a waste of space but otherwise agree, much rather get the local 5s than not, despite a few busts here and there.EsophagealFeces said:
They suck, but I'd rather get the local 5 stars than lose them like JTT, Egbuka, Taylor Mays, Shilling, etc.AtomicDawg said:

Those aren’t mutually exclusive poonts. You can think the local 4 stars suck but still take a few to bolster your chances with the local 5 stars when they pop up. Having local kids on the team is important for perception.whatshouldicareabout said:
I like that this thread is talking about taking local 4*s because it looks good and in the Junior Alexander thread we talk about how the local 4*s suckbananasnblondes said:
Yeah, its definitely good for optics. By the same token, I don't get why we're giving so little attention to Limar and letting him flip to our rivals. Like..... just take the local 4* guy. If he sucks he can portal.WoolleyDoog said:Love or don't love the kids tape and intangibles it's probably a good thing for optics if nothing else to make sure the top rated recruits in the state 1. Go to UW 2. Don't go to Oregon
You can add Jonathan Stewart to the positive list too. -
That's weird because my buddy dominated him sophomore year.EsophagealFeces said:

I can’t wait for the excitement to continue through fall camp When he can’t move up the depth chart stuck behind our starters from year. Prove me wrong Caleb.dnc said:He literally said "The moment the whole nation is waiting for" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

He put this together this morning when Lannbo told him Oregon was full because of math and shitdnc said: -
He's made a great choice, we've had 6 CBs drafted in the last 5 years

So there's been lots of talk about overrated local recruits but the local DBs seem to pan out more often than not. Budda, Rapp (not that highly rated I guess), Kyler (all literally had picks this weekend), Austin Joyner was on an NFL track until the concussions took him out, the kid who went to ND...is there a position locally that pans out more frequently than DB?dnc said: -
Even going way back you had the Trufants, Lawyer, Tony Zachary, James Hasty...just feels like local DBs tend to do well.

There’s only 85 scholarships guysm 🤣🤣🤣RaceBannon said:

Did we take 5 CBs this class?

Nope, DB is our best in the last 5 yearsdnc said:

Now that I’m thinking about it the UW DB’s who have had success in the league are almost all local guys. The disappointments, King, Jones, even Dana Hall were all CA guys. Peters and Murphy are the out of state exceptions here. And probably Trent.dnc said:
