Last year It was explained to me by someone on the PTA that the increase in school closures is no longer 100% tied to bus routes, but the perceived ability of parents and teachers/staff to safely get to campus. Concerns were raised at the county level that keeping schools open in inclement weather could potentially put students from Underserved communities at a disadvantage as they were less likely to have reliable transportation.

Here in Karenville, our underserved minorities are Asians, rich software Indians and a few black professional athletes.thechatch said:Last year It was explained to me by someone on the PTA that the increase in school closures is no longer 100% tied to bus routes, but the perceived ability of parents and teachers/staff to safely get to campus. IDk I’m just telling you what this woman said to me at a U8 girls soccer game last year.
The idea was that there would be more closures in certain districts because of the transportation issue so SIs from neighboring districts were encouraged to show an abundance of caution to keep kids safe(!) but also to avoid a learning gap between different public school systems in the same area. -
Sounds really scary over there. Stay safe

It’s fine. I don’t know why you’d think it was scary over here. There’s a couple inches on the ground at my house in Bellevue. Kids are out of school for Christmas break and they’re playing in our yard. I’m at work and my wife is at home wrapping presents.HuskyJW said:Sounds really scary over there. Stay safe
Not really scary at all. You ok, bud? -

T’s and P’s. Make sure you go to Trader Joe’s and
stock up on the essentials. You might have to put your Corolla in slippery mode.
Got about 2 feet and snowing like a motherfucker. I love it. -
I don’t drive a Corolla(although I did for about 6mo 20 years ago) nor do I shop at Trader Joe’s but thanks.
I take that back. My wife loves the cheese selection there but I don’t think I’ve ever been inside one.
InstaCart for Costco/Fred Meyer/Met Market/Total Wine takes care of 99% of what we need.
