Oh the irony

Last year Sark was being questioned about leading the nation in penalties again, and he said he was getting tired of talking about it quite frankly. He said he had talked to Pete Carroll about it, and Pete agreed that penalties are no big deal and are a byproduct of playing fast and loose.

So it made me LOL during the Seahawks post game show the other day, when Carroll said he was "absolutely thrilled" by how the Seahawks had cut down on penalties so far as it was something they had been working hard on.

    Good stuff.

For his part, all Pete did was bench Peters and Bierria for committing stupid penalties. Burn baby, burn.

Yesterday, Peterman said, "We don't bench players simply for making penalties"

On radio, Petersen said "we don't suspend guys for penalties." So, as noted here, it was Marcus Peter's outburst that spurred suspension.

    Peterman also said this:
Petersen said after the game it was an “easy” decision to bench Peters, who was flagged for a “stupid” penalty in the third quarter when he head-butted an EWU receiver. The unsportsmanlike-conduct penalty came immediately after a sack by UW’s Shaq Thompson on third down, which would have forced EWU to punt. Instead, the penalty gave the Eagles a first down, and they scored a touchdown eight plays later to take a 45-44 lead late in the third quarter.

After drawing the penalty, Peters was seen arguing with assistant coaches on the UW sideline. He also threw his gloves and helmet to the ground.

Petersen has a team rule that helmets are not supposed to touch the ground.

“I’m just not into stupid penalties,” Petersen said after the game. “It’s not even an issue whether the guy’s going to play or not if they don’t conduct themselves right. If you don’t play like we want you play, you’re not playing. It’s not even a decision for me; it’s easy.”

I becoming very supportive of Petersen's "easy" ways.

Burn it down. All of it.

Overall penalties do not correlate to winning and losing. However, specific penalties like false starts and other mental shit do. Carrolls teams got penalties for late hits and such. Physical aggressive type penalties. Sark's teams had false starts, delay of game's and other 100% mental shit that is completely avoidable and correctable.

This. And it's sad that no one in the Seattle media covering UW football was capable of pointing out Sarks logic fallacy.

Pete Carroll never said that, nor ever would. Sark is such a lying cunt

Also an ocean liner of irony that they're flipping out about Peters getting suspended (assuming) while probably not giving a fuck about Sark being reprimanded and PRHaden getting asked to donate 75k to autism research (not ironic, parallel).
Fixed. Thanks Swayze, inadvertent geometry superiority guy

Don't understand ironic vs. congruent. Laughed anyway.

Basically saying Haden is autistic, albeit high functioning like aspies. Kind of selfish to give to your own cause in my opinion.
