Sarkisian said he did not know which players would opt out of the bowl game following the Longhorns' 38-27 season finale win over Baylor. It's expected that running back Bijan Robinson, along with several seniors, will not participate and begin preparing for the 2023 NFL Draft.
I don't think it was the Oregon running back who started this trend of sitting out, but whomever it was deserves a medal because the one good that could come from it is that eventually we'll go back to core bowls and maybe even beyond and dump these 2nd tier bowls ... eventually nobody is going to watch this shit.
Now sitting out of the Rose Bowl is another matter altogether. -
This is exactly why expanding the playoff is a good idea. Not surprising if he sits, he should. But is this “visiting” thing normal? Figured there’s a process of some sort that all teams have to adhere to/I’m pretty sure the NFL tracks and limits how many draft prospects can come to your facility?
