One of the weird downsides to the playoff is that it might be better to be seeded 6 through 9. You get a home playoff game, and get to keep momentum when the season ends.

8-9 would suck going against #1 after a bye. I don't expect anything ever from an 8 or a 9.PostGameOrangeSlices said:One of the weird downsides to the playoff is that it might be better to be seeded 6 through 9. You get a home playoff game, and get to keep momentum when the season ends.
5-7 is ideal -

5 through 8, but you're poont is taken.
My fave is they can decide where the gayme is at. Most, obviously, would play at home. But maybe a broke-ass school sells out to Vegas, or a higher seed pays $$$ to bribe for a neutral site. Or a Group Of Five team getting to choose site of game with FSU would decide on The Swamp, or bringing Miami to Green Bay.

Anyone won the off season natty this early? Maybe Oregon last year when Lanning won a national championship?
