It seems like there's a knee-jerk reaction to assume that all Pac-12 teams are overrated and don't deserve national recognition, and Washington's ranking at No. 12 proves it. But Utah -- which is one spot ahead of Washington -- has three losses, one of which was to a Florida team that went 6-6. Kansas State has three pretty solid losses (No. 18 Tulane, No. 3 TCU and No. 20 Texas), but they are still three losses. An argument could even be made that Washington's resume with wins over No. 15 Oregon State and No. 16 Oregon are more impressive than Clemson's signature win over No. 13 Florida State.
Washington deserves to be in the Top 10." -

Utah and Kansas State will have 4 losses after championship weekend.

Is this one of the "metrics" you were talking about? Or is this just hypothetical bullshit you're trying to disguise as an argument? Might want to check the numbers again - my metrics tell me that Penix would have ass-blasted the gators in the swamp. Either way, Utah losing to a limpdick 6-6 Florida team isn't materially different than us losing to a limpdick 5-7 Michigan State. Except the latter didn't happen. The former did.
Utah lost their "marquee" OOC matchup, we won ours. In the only "common opponent" differentiator that mattered, we won at Auzten. They lost.

The issue isn’t really that Utah is ahead of uw. It’s that they leapfrogged with a win over colorado of all teams while uw beat a wazzu squad on the road. That’s the issue.
