Revised Recrooting Script

Softy's doogs now tell me we don't really need offensive linemen in this class, thanks to the boatload we have on the current roster, and that we can continue to recruit skill players in anticipation of ASJ and others leaving early. Looking forward to our 59013405th WR commit in the coming weeks. Sark gets it, everyone says so.

hmmm.... Just looked at the commit list for 2013. Already have 1 TE; 1 RB; 1 QB; 3WRs; 5 DE/DT; 3LB; 3 DB. But just 3 OL guys. You want 4-5 per class on the OL, so it is short still on the critical OL, for sure. But overall the class looks to be very well balanced. Overall.

It's awfully warm for the last time I checked it wasn't February.
-
Sark's just phoning it in on recrooting because he's got his eyes on the Utah State job.
-
It is three 3 star guys on the OL, and we'd like two more and ideally more highly ranked. But with Cozzetto as OL coach, I am not sure we are going to get blue chippers to come here.
If Softy is saying we don't need more OL players, that is crazy. We should get five good OL players (i.e., 2 more), and redshirt them. That is how OLs are built. -
This just in: softy's fucking nuts. You bring in way more OL than you need because its a high attrition position group. Does the name Nathan Rhodes mean anything to anybody? You literally never have enough line recroots.
-
Yes, Nathan Rhodes was our biggest recruit and biggest apparent loss in OL recruiting. But the guy that we lost last year to Stanford, and guys like Steve Schilling etc, never mind Castro, are enough to make an all-star team of those shoulda woulda guys.

Case closed.

Yes indeed. Impressive approach, and a huge contrast to the Sark/Cozzetto one.DerekJohnson said:Case closed.
