But one thing's for sure, a Peterman team (with comparable talent) would have never won that game on Sat.
UW was in position to take control back and shit the bed.
Henry missed the field goal but Petersen lost the game
2018 sucked, but 2019 was inexcusable
Could just be a biproduct of never getting blown out and being in position to win more often than not, but Christ he could have been so much better. -

2016 was special and without the playoffs, it's a juggernaut UW destroying PSU in the Rose Bowl. Yes we lost to PSU the next year, but '16 UW was an a whole nother level. Getting Bama in Atlanta was a bad draw, but even then the defense held Bama to 17 points.
How his tenure ended, though, was really sour. The whole not being excited for the Rose is borderline criminal. Handing the reigns over to Lake was neutral, people were even optimistic. The moment Donovan was hired was a grave digging move - Pete needed to talk Lake out of that and didn't. -

Just pointing out that for all prior UW coaches that team curb stomp wins a Rose Bowl and maybe even has an argument for a natty
Instead, they got Bama in fucking Atlanta. IDK if Don James is winning that nightmare matchup. -

Worst era of Pac-10/12 play in decades.
I always used to ask Doogs, ok give me his biggest wins at UW? I'd hear a lot of Stanford, WSU and Utah comments. Get the fuck outta here if those are some of your biggest wins and you are considered an "elite" coach. -

One thing Peterman never does that I think actually was a very smart move by Deboer was electing to take the opening kick. Being able to get up 7-0 toned down the crowd, kept UW from having to play catch up all game (especially if one thing went bad), and forced Nix to have to play from behind for a while, which he wasn't used to or good at.
Peterman also doesn't get Penix or that level of transfer QB. So there's that too. Which basically cements the loss. -
Peterman lost nearly every big game I can think back on. Then took his ball and went home when things got "stressful". Inserted Lake to do his job for him. If that doesn't describe a cuck not sure what does.
-
The funny thing about Penix is when we have the ball first and ten on our own 2 yard line, I'm not overly worried. Almost any other time in UW history, you're nervous about the offense getting stuffed and punting out of the end zone.chuck said:
He's hard as hell to sack for a guy who isn't all that nimble. It's mainly just awareness and the ability to sling it quickly. Amazingly he tends to quickly sling it to an open receiver more often than not.RaceBannon said:Penix is getting hit more every game. The lack of sacks are on him
Morris would have been sacked 60 times by now
It's the head coach who is saving Huff
Still can't gain a fucking yard
Nix is clever about avoiding sacks too. He had a couple of pretty creative throwaways. Otherwise UW has three sacks in that game. -
He is absolutely nails playing out of UW's endzone. I don’t worry about sacks or mistakes. Instead of cringing and wanting to cover my eyes like I would with every other UW team I've watched, I'm anticipating a big throw and even a 99yard TD one of these times.DerekJohnson said:

Other examples: Tui and Hobert.
Common denominator? Big dick energy. (My two dads approve of this comment). -
