I still have bat from bat night in 1981 I believe.

There used to be commercials for the Ms. it went like the Mariners are paying hardball. Hit it again and again. Hit it again.

    Big league stuff
We're playing to win and we're moving on up
    Big league stuff
Mariner baseball --- It's big league stuff!!

Hit it again and again and again...

I would have been there, but I don't remember the game
I was at Bat Night in 1979, the 16-1 win over the Yankees. 9 runs in the first inning. Billy Martin got thrown out of the game and kicked dirt on the umpire

Love the Alvin Davis reference, that is the era I started my fandom in.
Some great memories getting $5 Mariners tickets at the Kindome through UW when I was there too.

Awesome memory on that jingle. We would sing it as miss it again and again and again. Miss it again

I now keep that bat under my bed! I think there was a poster they put out too with The Chicken on it.

I still have my Tillamook Cheese plastic mug/stein that they gave out in 1987? We used to clang them in the backs of the metal seats

I do have some JP Crawford pajama bottoms. Pretty comfy for lounging around.

I refused to be a Pepsi Jr Mariner. That was for faggy kids.

Was there ever a weird old lady who sat behind home plate who constantly rubbed her hands together of something? Or am I thinking of another team or just making it up?

That I don’t remember. I do remember when Dori Monson would do the 7th inning stretch sports report on the Mariners “dugout”, there would be this long haired guy photo bombing Dori the whole segment. That guy was there almost every time I was there.

Another thing at Ms games were the sailboat races. These used the crappy graphics of the Jumbotron at the time.
