Yeah, saw that.
It's hard to imagine a scenario he sticks around if he keeps ballin. Covid adding eligibility gives us false hope, I'm sure he sees himself as a Senior. -
His injury history will play a large part in this. Hopefully he stays healthy this year and takes another season to prove he can stay that way

Which, like Riley at Oklahoma, would lend to a line of portal QBs looking for DeBoer rehab to resurrect a career.RoadDawg55 said:

If the Huskies win the Pac in 2022 and Penix is one the nation's leading passers I don't see how you can't give him the Heisman.
It would be one the all time great MVP performances in the history of the sport, by the position which usually get the trophy. -
A penix sneaking its way into something is a good way to assign yourself “character issues” before the draft.CFetters_Nacho_Lover said:He’s getting some first round hype on CBS Sports.

Hurts his knee during victory formation at the championship game

Is he still a Heisman candidate, or no?

Technically there are around 13,000 candidates. He's a top-tier candidate at this point of the season, rather easily.

Is he leading the nation in passing? Only a third of the way in, but still.MikeDamone said:Is he still a Heisman candidate, or no?
It’s still dealing in hypotheticals but with each win the campaign gains meaning.

I remember Jake Locker’s Heisman website. He played Nebraska and then they stopped updating it.

Penix could exclusively throw to Culp with his right hand for an entire game and do better than 4 of 20.MelloDawg said:I remember Jake Locker’s Heisman website. He played Nebraska and then they stopped updating it.

The title gets thrown around a lot but that was by far the worst performance I've ever seen from a starting college qb.MelloDawg said:I remember Jake Locker’s Heisman website. He played Nebraska and then they stopped updating it.

That was a curse going back to at least Chris Chandler. First one I rememberMelloDawg said:I remember Jake Locker’s Heisman website. He played Nebraska and then they stopped updating it.

Penix is a renta-Dawg though.RaceBannon said:

Wasn’t Moon a 2 or 3 year starter though. Does renta-Dawg apply to anyone who didn’t sign out of high school?YellowSnow said:

Dillon isn’t in Canton anyway. Bad guess. -
It was my favorite UW-Nebraska game in the history we’ve played them. It really helped propel me into misery for a good 8-10 years. I thrive when I’m miserable.DoogmanRefund said:
