It's amazing what coaching and conditioning will do for a team. Also moving Ale to DT has been vital for depth, as they're playing 6 DTs and 4 DEs throughout the whole gamebackthepack said:IDL made it hell for sparty to run the ball, Tuli is maybe our best DL and Tui looked great. Jeremiah Martin is an animal. Bralen Trice is very good. ZTF and Savell are solid. I think they're going to protect the backend a lot this year. We have some guys that can go in the front 4.

Smalls is looking decent with coaching
Ztf is decent but doesnt seem to be the same dude we got a glimpse of in 2020 -
Tuli is so damn good. Best player on our defense. He was dominant last night. Tuitele was great too. Shoutout Inoke and McKeefry

DL looks very well coached compared to last year. It also seems to be a position where we have some quality depth

ZTF was about 280 in the COVID year. He looks a little slight now. He probably lost some power.

Martin is a killer against the run and not a bad pass rusher either. Smalls shows up now too and is also pretty solid against the run.
All around good game for the front 7. Every time the QB escaped I thought for sure there would be flags on the ground. They held a ton. I suppose they let it go for both teams though. -

Don't think this group will ever be a dominant pass rush, but they can be good enough. The difference in the run defense is extremely impressive though, we have like 4-5 guys now who can reliably set an edge an get off their blocks. The past few years we've had maybe (1?), EDGE who could do that.
We were starting freshmen Savell and Cooper McDonald jesus christ I forgot. Finally having some players who can hold up physically makes it so much easier. -
