We are fucked folks. We have a barely functional Moron in the Oval Office. We have a two-digit IQer in the VP office. We have a braindead speaker of the House and a bunch of Commies controlling Congress and our Media.

I guess when (D) Rep. Raskin went to the floor in an attempt to stop the certification of electors that wasn't because he thought the 2016 was stolen. He was just? Protecting our DeMoCrAcY!

    Dazzler?

atlanta fed just lowered their q3 gdp outlook to 0.5% growth, had forecasted at ~2.7% growth as of august.

hearin retailers inventory levels are high (be lookin for better sales this xmas season) and china has 'unlimited' production capacity (it wont get used).

    but this isnt a recession.

Don't worry, when asked the other day Joey said, "we're gonna be alright."

No. Not a recession. That’s old thinking.

Recession, sure. Unseen like any other? Hyperbole.

We have a dementia president who wishes he was fdr and a congress that wishes he was Chavez.

The economic fundamentals aren't there to make it worst ever but this government 100% has the potential response to make it that way.

Retailers are already pushing for vendor funded markdowns or outright returns to get the levels back. Vendors have too much also. Backed up Chinese supply chains and the threat of more inflation forced over buying. This is going to kill earnings in the next quarter or so, big layoffs are coming in Q1 next year.

Name ONE media outlet that said the election was stolen. Not some claim by a 3rd party computer geek, negro lesbian, or failed candidate. Just ONE!

We were a different culture back in the 1930s. In spite of massive poverty, America was basically crime free and orderly. Today, that kind of unemployment would result in Thunder Dome.

Same experts can’t predict the weather the next day. Until the employment data starts showing material weakness, I don’t see a massive recession. Just bunch a fear mongering morons trying to get a hot take.

Yes, but most employers just went through hell for the last 2 years trying to hire people. Because of that most of them reluctant to cut as historically just because hiring them was such a pain in the ass. Most might just eat the lower margin and ride out the storm.

Not so much. We simply had frontier Justice. Eye for an eye if you will. We didn’t have crime report data bases and we had way less police. And a convict had no rights whatsoever. Crime was less. But we weren’t anywhere close to crime free.

Well, in the mid 1960s, our white suburb was basically crime free. I don't recall any home or car break-ins. That is far from that today. Also, no one phucked around with the police unless they wanted a wooden shampoo and generally being beaten to a pulp.

We have changed too much, gone too soft. Even when My father was a cop it was OK to shoot people that ran. Cuts down on all sorts of problems.

I remember the phrase, "Stop or I will shoot". Now, in many jurisdictions you can't even pursue the criminals.
