So very, very grateful that he's gone. I couldn't imagine how depressing this season would be with Lake still around.

Washington did not choose to fire him for cause, and will pay his $9.9 million buyout. -

Aside from Ryan Day and Lincoln Riley (at Oklahoma), I can't think of many coaches recently who have walked into a better set up head coaching situation than Jimmy. All he had to do was make a few semi-competent hires and put a small bit of effort into recruiting. In both cases, he literally made the worst decisions humanly possible.
