That and an active GPS system in your car so they know where you are at anytime. They were already pinging cell phone data to locate citizens at the capitol on January 6 without a warrant. Just don't call that authoritarian.BleachedAnusDawg said:
True, but if they had tech to allow them to remotely disable vehicles on a large scale they would be using it. I have no doubt that's coming in the future.Sledog said:
Most cops are not allowed to chase anyone anymore. Insanity.BleachedAnusDawg said:

No onstar. Also, do really think the government need you to activate onstar to disable your car?BleachedAnusDawg said:
If you activated OnStar, yeah. I didn't in my car. I'm sure there are some newer models where it's possible, but not all new cars have that feature. Definitely not everything of the past 10 years.MikeDamone said:
I'm sure about that. In most models it's already there.BleachedAnusDawg said:
You sure about that? There was talk about kill switch legislation for new cars made in 2026.MikeDamone said:
If you own a car made in the last 10 years it can be disabled remotely.46XiJCAB said:There's a sucker born every minute.
I can start my 2017 Chevy with a iPhone app. Chevy can disable it if I report it stolen
You seem naive
To actually disable that's a whole different thing because not all cars in the past 10 years have connected tech. If they did cops would be using the tech now to avoid car chases, etc. -
Can’t be true. I saw 2000 Mules was debunked.WestlinnDuck said:

Seems like a constitutional right to move about. Disabling cars for climate bullshit would seem to violate that but hey I'm no supreme court justice.BleachedAnusDawg said:

I think has been used a time or two but I'm out of the game these days and when I was working if I wanted to shit to their car I need a warrant. -
Just declare an emergency. Constitution then takes a back seat.Sledog said:
