Back in California we got a notice that the power company had a neat new way for us to "save money" by hooking up a smart meter. We opted out once then had to opt out again when they signed us up anyway. Well these poor suckers in Colorado fucked around and found out.

Nothing wrong with a smart home. I like my programable smart thermostat. As long as I'm the one doing the programming. I can turn it up, go away for a week, then dial it down on the way home and have it comfortable by the time I get home.
