The Offense

I'm actually not too concerned.
Riva didn't play last night (Coleman Shelton got his first career start), so the only holdovers from last year's O were Mickens and the other 4 OL. So we had a new (and probably not the long-term answer) QB, new RB, two new WRs, a new TE, and a green RS-Frosh at RT.
I'm looking forward to Miles and Riva coming back and Kasen Williams returning to full health / form because it will help the offense get sorted out.

I don't think Kasen wanted to be out there.

Agree to an extent. I think even marginal QB play changes production dramatically.

Aside from the obvious boost we will get at QB, I think we run the ball much better next week.

This. Lisfrancs take time. How long did Derrick Johnson's take? Stanback's?EsophagealFeces said:

You would hope for a healthy helping of running the football against the mighty Eagles. It's the Eagles natty next Saturday. Hopefully they won't need Trufant.

If Kasen didn't want to be out there, he wouldn't have. I think he wanted to, but shouldn't have been allowed to. Everything I was hearing from fall camp was that he was still only about 80%. 80% of some receivers is enough to be useful, but Kasen is too slow at 100%, so 80% of him doesn't scare anyone.

Open season on the 12s; Lindquist ain't seeing the field the remainder of his career.RoadDawg55 said:Aside from the obvious boost we will get at QB, I think we run the ball much better next week.

I can't wait for them to run the ball 50 times next week and for your post complaining about them throwing too much.jecornel said:You would hope for a healthy helping of running the football against the mighty Eagles. It's the Eagles natty next Saturday. Hopefully they won't need Trufant.
