What Will It Take for Penix to Receive Quarterback Acceptance?

I'm not sure what Raley is getting at here. I haven't seen anybody here shun Penix. Indifferent maybe, but not shun.

    I'm working under the theory that Dan Raley is a robot from the future, like the Terminator, but instead of trying to kill humanity, he's here to torture us by spamming shitty articles about the Huskies

    I surprised I'm surprised - shitty article from Raley?!?

    It is not fucking rocket surgery. People are not getting sucked into hype of our legendary Penix when they've seen the lengthy history of falling limp short of the finish line.
    You cannot count on Penix staying upright so anything that comes from his time inside a UW uniform is just a bone-us. I firmly believe he could be great, but I have a hard time envisioning our Penix taking a pounding or scoring very much, let alone setting any records slinging those balls at willing receivers. Although maybe we could bring back the special ugly unis for one gayme - all black jersey and pants (to look larger, naturally). But imagine our larger than life black Penix, topped with that enormous purple helmet glistening in the crisp autumn air.
    Either way we? are fucked.

    You have a point but t's not really about the edge rushers he'll face, or the UW offensive line for that matter. He'll inevitably get mixed up in traffic and have big fucks falling on him.

    He doesn't seem to hold up, but this could be the year where he does. The truth is that I expect uw to have a good OL this year, and they won't be facing any scary defenses.

    I agree, it sounds like Raley is arguing with an imaginary friend in order to create a more interesting storyline. As a sidenote, FWIW, if Penix can
    stay upright and deliver as expected, I think that Fresno State has just found their starting QB to succeed Haener next season.
