Yeah that's a big problem. And a major drawback to EV.

Buyer beware. That's on those idiots for not doing their homework.Sledog said: -
Yeah since they bought it used they should have looked in to it buttfuck Ford for no longer supporting a battery they made in 2014. FFS that's only 8 years old! When I look at old Jeeps I know there might be some parts that are no longer supported, but they are 40 year old vehicles. I'd never expect to not have support in an 8 year old car. It's fucked. It is also the reason EV adoption will be slower because of bonehead shit like this being done by major manufacturers. Morons.RoadTrip said:

Jeeps are an iconic vehicle. I own a '92 Wrangler and like you said I can get any part down to a bolt for that vehicle. 2014 was still very early in the EV production and why would anyone believe Ford would continue their development of a vehicle which sold very few in total? When I bought the Tesla, I knew I had an 8 year, unlimited mileage warranty on the battery.Swaye said:

How many were sold? I just wouldn't have bought an 8 year old Ford EV. They have little to no charging infrastructure. I just would have made very little sense to me.BleachedAnusDawg said: -
Went mostly electric for yard shit. I like to keep the bushes around my fifth wheel tidy and neat. That being said the cost of the batteries is often more than the tool, so I'm not surprised.
