I want Sark to win just so I can be wrong.

Good post but I just don't think Sark is driven to be great. He appears to me as some frat guy who has had everything handed to him. While the truly great coaches like James, Saban, Kelly, etc. don't settle for anything other than perfect.MikeDamone said:In 1988 I wanted Don James fired. He got to work and shut me up. And I was delighted. I want Sark to win 10 games this year and go on to many years success. I want UW to succeed so I can be wrong. Right now, it doesn't look good, but I want to be wrong. For the love of God and for those that are going to games on crisp fall days with their dad....prove me wrong. It's been a very long 20 years.
They are always busting their asses whether it be game planning, recruiting, coaching up their coaches, etc. I hope I'm wrong on Sark but from what I've seen or heard in his five years now he isn't a hard worker. -
All you need to do is look at Garnett and Banner to see Sark doesn't seem to work all that hard. Doogs like to blame it on Cox, but how the fuck does the head coach not have a handle on the situation?He_Needs_More_Time said:

What's funny is that when he was first hired, the media pumped up how hard Sark was working. "He's not gofling like Ty, he's recruiting and getting the guys ready to play!" It's another example of Sark doing something better than Ty, but nowhere near the level of the elite coaches.

Some people can't see the difference between demanding results and being "negative". I can't help them. -
I'm hearing we all just want Sark to fail so we can say we were right. Plus we live miserable and pathetic lives.
-
I want Sark to do well AND I want him fired regardless.
He's not the solution long-term. If he surprises on the upside hopefully someone in the NFL is dumb enough to hire him or use him for a rebuilding job. -
I think you're right. But he is here this year irregardless and if he pulls off a 1990 don James, I'm all in. I'm not sure some of the doogs will let me back on the bandwagon, but I don't care. I have consistently hated money and my check have cashed. Yes,I'm part of the problemHeretoBeatmyChest said:I want Sark to do well AND I want him fired regardless.

Whenever Damone says stuff and is wrong all you guys do is jump all over and criticize him, yet whenever he is right no one says anything......
-
Agree. At best I see Sark being the coach who has that one good year where we win 10 games in a water down schedule(could happen this year) but won't consistently have UW competing for a conference title if ever.HeretoBeatmyChest said:I want Sark to do well AND I want him fired regardless.

There are plenty of dumb NFL teams though so that is our best hope. Sark doesn't recruit/develop OL worth a shit so that tells me long term his program will always be average. -
Sark isn't one of the 20 guys who could lead this program back into contention (at least not the 20 guys on the DMC primer) but he's simply a symptom of the real problem with Husky football - Pool Boy... who was trained and promoted and extended in a last second back office deal by the incredible sage who oversees the NCAA.
-
But why do they call Sark pool boy?Meek said:Sark isn't one of the 20 guys who could lead this program back into contention (at least not the 20 guys on the DMC primer) but he's simply a symptom of the real problem with Husky football - Pool Boy... who was trained and promoted and extended in a last second back office deal by the incredible sage who oversees the NCAA.

Sark is kind of coach who isn't going to get it done. He will take down the entire Washington Husky football program while doing so. As a coach he just lacks the skill necessary to make a mediocre team go to a great team. Things are looking very ugly in Seattle that is for sure so I guess we should just lean back and watch the train wreck happen.

Agree with the first half of your post. Disagree about things looking very ugly. I may be an optimist, but I think a new coach could get it rolling right away in 2014.CougLJ said:Sark is kind of coach who isn't going to get it done. If we win the national championship next year, i will be mad because I want Sark to fail so i will be right. There are many out there who share my opinion. Came into this thread expecting a reverse cowgirl post, leaving bitterly disappointed.

Sure it's #SharkWeek but on the first day of fall camp at Washington, the Huskies are looking at #SarkWeek
