I get calls

Some uninterested employee of the Athletic dept called today. She had zero idea who her audience was. Dialed in as usual. Straight up asks “So….do you want to reup and get tickets or what?” I said “no.” She almost hung up before asking why. I responded I thought the athletic department has no idea what it is doing, NIL, and the transfer portal has lost interest for me. She agreed with me, understood, and thanked me for my past support. No follow up. No care. Next!!

Quality sales job. Typical of this program.

University Ave in the U District is basically the skid row of the area. Sketchy people hang out there. Twenty years ago it was sketchy but fine. Now its sketchy, seedy and possibly dangerous

Common misconception - it's actually University Way

So they’ve been Way rats all along?

The Ave is just the university district's flagship street. It has always been a great place to get a cheap burrito or rice bowl, pick up a 1/4 gram dime bag, and kick it with homeless and drug dealers.

From the sounds of it those were the glory days and it'll take a lot of cleanup just to get it back to that. Too bad. It used to be an amusing mile or so of street with a lot to offer in terms of cheap food, light shopping (music stores), and some places to drink.

Jack in the box on the ave was good reliable place to score drugs back in my days.

Took a taxi cab through that jack in the box because they refused to serve us as walk ups. Bought the cab driver food too since he only drove us a tenth of a mile. He was happy to get dinner and a break. Plus, we didn't throw up in his back seat like the normal Ave customers at 2am.

Also tried the walk-up approach once. They told us to come back in a car. We were drunk, of course.

In 1997 or 98 I was waiting in the Jack in the Box drive thru around midnight with a girl named Rajvir. A guy comes up to my window all nonchalant and wants to sell me drugs.

I bought an eight game Sonic pack like 20 years ago. They don't give up easily.

This is better but I don’t see it being a movie yet.
