This is how the cash cows get killed. Glad that the Oregon grads are fucking UW by working at UW AD

University Ave in the U District is basically the skid row of the area. Sketchy people hang out there. Twenty years ago it was sketchy but fine. Now its sketchy, seedy and possibly dangerousPitchfork51 said: -
Common misconception - it's actually University WayDerekJohnson said:

The Ave is just the university district's flagship street. It has always been a great place to get a cheap burrito or rice bowl, pick up a 1/4 gram dime bag, and kick it with homeless and drug dealers.Pitchfork51 said:
From the sounds of it those were the glory days and it'll take a lot of cleanup just to get it back to that. Too bad. It used to be an amusing mile or so of street with a lot to offer in terms of cheap food, light shopping (music stores), and some places to drink. -

I was robbed on The Ave back in the day. $20. Then got to sit in the back of a squad car in hiding while 6 cops pulled the guy over and took him down with guns to his head.DerekJohnson said:

Jack in the box on the ave was good reliable place to score drugs back in my days.
-
Took a taxi cab through that jack in the box because they refused to serve us as walk ups. Bought the cab driver food too since he only drove us a tenth of a mile. He was happy to get dinner and a break. Plus, we didn't throw up in his back seat like the normal Ave customers at 2am.FireCohen said:Jack in the box on the ave was good reliable place to score drugs back in my days.

Also tried the walk-up approach once. They told us to come back in a car. We were drunk, of course.UW_Doog_Bot said:

In 1997 or 98 I was waiting in the Jack in the Box drive thru around midnight with a girl named Rajvir. A guy comes up to my window all nonchalant and wants to sell me drugs.FireCohen said:Jack in the box on the ave was good reliable place to score drugs back in my days.
