St DeBoer Day Massacre?SlimDawg said:21 Visitors coming in this week; Deboer and Courney Morgan are shooting their shot. Lots of these guys are on their last publicly scheduled visit which is a good sign and we're not exactly going up against the Blue Bloods for a lot of these guys.

We have a pretty solid group of kids coming in this week and this week will also go a long way in telling us if this coaching staff is anywhere close to being competent recruiters.
The top rated kid, Anthony James, is supposedly down to us and Auburn. Auburn leads but we get the last visit. He seems to genuinely love UW for some reason.
All the other 4 star and high 3-star guys seem to like UW but do not have UW as their leader so it will be interesting to see what they say after the weekend. If you're one to read too much into a visit report, it sounds like UW didn't impress 4-star TE Jackson Bowers very much, but who knows.
In looking over all the visit lists, one thing is definitely true. We are doing a huge percentage of our head to head recruiting against Arizona, Colorado, and Kansas. Any time USC or Oregon is involved, it's a guaranteed loss -
This one stings. Cancelled his official visit with less than a week to go. If Huff was on the hot seat before it should be scorching now. -

ATM USC and Oregon have NIL programs
Huff shouldn't have been retained but this one is easy to figure out -
UW has officially become the new Cougs in-state. Only going to get in-state guys who have no better offers. I'm not worried though because they're going to replace them with either no one or fringe players from out of state.ROOFDOOGINS said:

I don't seek to add wit or charm to this thread. I'm just fucking angry that a thing I used to love has been mangled.

Same here. However I don't think Deboer's responsible for not competing with the big boys. That's on upper campus for not wanting to play the NIL gamesinceredawg said:I don't seek to add wit or charm to this thread. I'm just fucking angry that a thing I used to love has been mangled.

Whatever the strategy is gonna be they better figure it out soon. Feels like there’s no strategy in terms of recruiting.

I see a way to get Anne Marie to impact recruiting. Only go after players who have lesbians for moms.JoeEDangerously said:

He was willing to take the bag UW handed him … his job to deliver the results -
CFB fans during the season: "OMG, all that matters is having coaches that scheme well and players that actually care. Look at this dumpster fire Texas team or this pathetic [SEC] team that should be way better than they are."
CFB fans during the off-season: "All that matters is having coaches who recruit and close the teen bois I stalk the most on Twitter" -
Seeing who commits and their offer sheet is so underwhelming.DerekJohnson said:

Were grabbing kids in March/April/etc that I'd hope Kalen would be able to pull if necessary the night b4 signing day.

Was curious, so here's a list with P5 offers.godawgst said:

Williams: Arizona, ASU, Arkansas, Cal, Colorado, Kansas, Miami, MSU, Ole Miss, Oregon, OSU, Pitt, Stanford, Utah
Rogers: Arizona, BC, Cal, Colorado, OSU, UCLA, USC, Utah, Wazzu
Lane: Arizona, Cal, Utah
Reynolds: ASU
Bryant: Colorado, Louisville, Oregon, Wazzu
Gordon: ASU, Utah
From that list, I'm guessing Utah also is foregoing an NIL program -
Biggins is putting in a crystal ball for Elishah Jackett to UW. If huff locks him up that is a pretty impressive recruiting win.

St DeBoer Day Massacre update: 21 players visited that week, 2 were already committed, 12 have since committed, and we're in good position for at least 2 others.SlimDawg said:21 Visitors coming in this week; Deboer and Courney Morgan are shooting their shot. Probably the most successful recruiting weekend in program history -

Don't go 7-6 like our last sizzle coach and maybe he can hold on to some of these kids. Win and most all of them stick.AtomicDawg said:

are we doogin again here? cause it feels like we're doogin.

Yes, we are dooging because we finally have a coach that is 1. competent and 2. seems to enjoy being a coach.insinceredawg said:are we doogin again here? cause it feels like we're doogin.
When was the last time we had that?
