Been listening on all the local TV stations and national advertisements promoting Juneteenth and it's all crap. Then toss in all the phucking bitterness and blame whitey. The professional blacks are not trying to bring anyone together, just grifting for more money from whitey by promoting lies and white guilt. If we were going to have a national celebration about liberating black slaves a better day would be April 9, 1865 when the Confederacy surrendered to the North. Another better choice would be January 1, 1863 with Lincoln issuing the Emancipation Proclamation. Or December 6, 1865 with the ratification of the 13th Amendment banning slavery in the US.
But no, it's a minor action two months after the end of the Civil War in which a White US Army general in Galveston, Texas enforced the freedom of the slaves as set out by the Emancipation Proclamation and the enforcement of that with the unconditional surrender of the South by the defeat of the Confederacy by a Northern White Christian Union army. Then I get lectured about why it took so long for whitey to respect and honor this particular day and then how sh*tty it is to be black in America and why its my fault. Juneteenth isn't in the top 25 of the important things that led to the ending of slavery in the US. -

Why is Juneteenth officially called National Independence Day and the Fourth of July also called Independence Day?
Freedom Day wouldn’t work for Juneteenth so the leftists had to re-brand another phrase to revise history?

I laugh when I think of the dazzler having to write an appellate brief responding to the other side. No ability to actually refute what I posted. Juneteenth is actually George Floyd day and is just a grifter wet dream. It has nothing to actually do with black freedom or savings black lives unless black freedom is the freedom to resist arrest. In the history of the US civil rights movement, Galveston in June of 1865 is a small afterthought. If not, then the credit should be to the Northern Christians, something that makes the dazzler throw up in his mouth.HHusky said:
