    I've had lots of good vegan food. But going vegan doesn't appeal to me either. Still, "they" seem to frighten this guy and he seems awfully invested in "their" marketplace failure. Why?

    Not much science there. It's calories and carbs that make you fat. French fries and any baked goods using margarine are vegan. Sugar from fruit gets the same result as sugar from a cookie.
