I'm through two episodes of Peaky Blinders

The sets and cinematography are A+ though

It gets better but it never truly hooked me.
-
6 episode season, so 4 more should suffice

I must say, it's not as good as I thought it would be. But I'm going to give it 3-4 more episodes.

Wood risk half my net worth on one of the actresses.

Stalin and I will always have similar musical interests, a love Seinfeld references and of Husky football.
But god damn it, I don't get the TV taste some time. My Mister = special and Peaky Blinders = nothing special?

You didn't watch My Mister so how would you know? My Mister grabs you by the throat by around episode 4. So I'm giving PB at least that much time before making final conclusions.YellowSnow said:Stalin and I will always have similar musical interests, a love Seinfeld references and of Husky football.

Its like a 6/10 for me

Through 4 episodes, it feels like it could be epic, but it lacks the grab-you-by-the-throat qualityCuntWaffle said:Its like a 6/10 for me

I feel it’s very good (not truly epic) for the first couple seasons. Glad it’s going ok for you.DerekJohnson said:

There are several remarkable things about the series. But the way IU's character (Lee Ji-An) begins as basically a sociopathic demon-child who is basically all alone in the world and almost living like an animal in the worst poverty, and then to see her through sixteen episodes thaw out and discover the humanity within herself and in others, while enduring tremendous hardships, and to emerge at the very end as a respectable young woman who made a huge difference in someone else's life, is just amazing to watch. It's a story of redemption. Nobody could have handled that role as well as IU. Her ability to utilize facial expressions to convey so much is pure genius. IU's ability to convey tremendous vulnerability and fierce strength at the same time is next level acting.YellowSnow said:

The story arc of Park Dong-Hoon is equally as compelling, and then when you combine those two story arcs the show is amazingly powerful. It goes right to the heart of humanity and the importance of maintaining human decency in the face of the worst hardships.
