Disagree. They are a pretty successful franchise. Spending money in baseball is often a huge waste. A team like the Yankees, Dodgers, Red Sox, etc can afford the busts because their money is endless. Players don’t hit free agency until 29-32 and most the big signings end up being terrible. It really is tough to get it right.greenblood said:Good for Oakland. I’m sure they would spend more money with a stadium. Nobody wants to go sit in a dump when the Giants have a beautiful ballpark. What casual fan wants to bring their family or a group of friends to a shit hole? So the A’s have 5-10k diehards and little else. -
