Comparing him to Jimmy Carter is unfair to Jimmy Carter.

    True dat.

Carter wasn’t evil or corrupt. Mostly poor timing and naive.

This is a great post. Absolutely true. I have never gotten any sense that Carter was evil, but just naive and a bit weak, plus just the wrong man at the wrong time.

Not evil or corrupt, but a liar (family friend used to work with him in Georgia…he kept a flask he hit pretty hard in his desk as Governor) and a moron. He suffered from the same problem most of these Ivy League morons in the current administration suffer from…you may be smart and trained in a field but it doesn’t mean you are suddenly an expert in everything. Smartest executives know what they know and much more importantly know what they don’t know. They set overall priorities and key measurables, but let actual experts in the field set the detailed policy to achieve it (and the best execs let a couple different experts do it and fight over the policy to get picked). Carter tried to micromanage everything and ended up screwing up most of it.

Pretty common to keep a bottle in the desk drawer.

What they should have said is that few Men have helped as many Americans as Jimmy Carter did, once He got out of politics.

He is the definition of a public servant. One of which we will never see again in this country.

When that Robert Reich goes blowtorch on Joey for crowing about this, you know something is afoot.
