How someone so "smart" could have a PhD from Yale supposedly in economics and was Fed Reserve Chairman and now Treasury Secretary can be economically illiterate and have no idea where inflation comes from is staggering. It's almost like our leadership of the NIH and CDC have absolutely no scientific background in epidemiology. Wait, I'm seeing a pattern here. Good thing our military leadership hasn't been corrupted with bureaucratic incompetents.

I realize that. But I'm still shocked that people like Yellen and Fow Chee will destroy their professional reputations for so little. Yellen has all the money she needs and took a huge pay cut to work for the government. Now Fow Chee definitely took the job and the royalty kickbacks for the money. He is the Peter's Principal on steroids.
