SEC defense purplej

SC was overrated as hell going into the season, however if this were a pac-12 game you'd be pointing out how great the offenses are
-
3 years in-a-row ive called South Carolina's shit show for what it is and its top 10 preseason ranking. No fucking change and blatant SEC bias at work. Oh, ive been calling bullshit on the "SEC defense" myth too. This for decades. Sure theyve been good butt the SEC offense was extinct as any player with ability went over to play defense.
The pac on the other hand split the difference. The entire SEC replaces qb's (not all but close) and with garbage defenses should be an interesting year. So far the returns look as usual. -
FREE PUB!!!!!!!

The rankings are a big problem. They literally put 7-9 teams in the top 25. Yeah, I get it, Florida and Bammer were really good from 2006-2012, and they had top five coaches. THAT DOESN'T MEAN THE FOURTH BEST TEAM SHOULD AUTOMATICALLY BE RANKED SEVENTH.puppylove_sugarsteel said:3 years in-a-row ive called South Carolina's shit show for what it is and its top 10 preseason ranking. Ole Miss looks good on D but they bought an NFL front 7. Nobody in the country has paid more for talent than hugh freeze yet they're up only 7-3 vs. Free OKG'S. The SEC is a fucking joke. Alabama, with 11 returning starters is #2 in the country preseason, and with Casey Paus' s QB pupil at QB (0 starts for Bambi) is WAY FARGIN OVERRATED (just like the head ball coach's squad is)
Saban has 2 difficult games this year, if they had more they would actually lose 1 or 2 so of course they'll finish undefeated. You twats startin to see where Im coming from yet? -
Disagree. He has 8 SEC games, a conference championship, and 2 playoff games. Good stuff Billy. They have had dominant teams at the top, but after the top 2 or 3 teams, the conference is no different from any other. Every year teams like South Carolina, Georgia, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, and whatever other team backs into a 9-4 season get overrated solely because they are in the SEC. I've never seen a team get as lucky as Auburn did last year and Missouri making the SEC title game last year spoke volumes.Fire_Marshall_Bill said:

It's funny how all the Pac Twoolves suddenly grow bolder the year that the SEC doesn't win the title.

Disagree. You're discounting how good the Cardinals are. They would have won the NFC North and had a shot at the East and South. The Rams were dreck on offense, but their defense is outstanding. The NFL-NCAA comparison doesn't really work there because conference play is 9/12 of your games in college, but only 6/16 in the NFL. The strength of your division/conference makes a bigger difference in college than the NFL, good or bad.TierbsHsotBoobs said:

I've been watching the SEC since they had ten teams and TBS (as in the TV station) showed their gaymes on Sat. mornings in the 80s. They were a respectable conference, nothing more. In fact I remember some Bammer v. LSU games for the conference lead in which both teams were ranked in the teens. 1988 or thereabouts. Even in the late 90s Bammer was terrible, and I remember Danny Waffle (a worse Heisman than Gino Torretta) and the Gaytors getting drilled by Tommy Frazier in the party bowel.
This "success" is a recent, ovehyped, and short-lived phenomenon. Don't act like CBS and ESPN's multi billion dollar deals have nothing to do with it either. It's already fading fast. Look at how South Carolina was absolutely annihilated. Real Top 10 teams rarely play like that... Maybe once out of every 40 times.

No, all four teams in the NFC West were good. Arizona went 10-6. That wins the division in some other divisions.TierbsHsotBoobs said:
