Twitter has locked changes to the site by employees for fear of sabotage.

Yep. Twitter is powerful media. It has more or less destroyed journalism as the lesser blue checks just parrot what the Big Media blue checks twat. But soon, there SHOULD be no shadow banning. Which has been a Yuge problem to truth being shown to the masses. And the Big Blue checks won’t? be able to post their bullshit without the full force of the Twitterverse to see it. Maybe.46XiJCAB said:
Twitter has much more power than you realize. Yes it's a small minority that poast 80-90% of it's content. But the influence it has around the world far exceeds that. It sets the narrative of the left and attempts to eliminate counter arguments from the right. That makes it very powerful. That's why the Left is so upset by this news. Pols and companies react to Twitter and many times their resulting actions are not favoring those of us on the right or even in the middle.Pitchfork51 said:I feel like this is something with zero impact on my life minus some childish laughing at the libs who are melting down
None of these things will come quick. Twitter is structurally infected with way left leaning employees throughout. And they will not make this transaction smoothe or easy. It will be 2 steps forward and a step and a half back for awhile.
This will, however expose the ghouls that really run it where the rubber meets the road. -
I can’t wait until the government comes in a shuts Twitter down in the name of “public safety”.

i think you'll see a peleton-style layoff: trim in back office (probably more focus on an offshore model), marketing/brand creation, and diversity/inclusion. there may be some on the dev side but id doubt that, plus, going on what i know about s/w engineers they either love elon or just want to shut the fuck up and write code. if they cut back on R&D then maybe they cut some engineers, they'll probably cut back some 'top secret projects' which teams will outright get cut or reassigned. dont have to worry about equity options anymore either and probably more cost effective to not be a publicly traded company/having to file with the SEC.Swaye said:I just hope Elon fires half of the existing employees of Twatter. Or more.
theres ways to make money there, cut a lot (not everything) back, increase engagement (bring back trump), charge for blue checks based on number of followers, etc.
