Can't wait to live in a country with 500 million people, more traffic, more poverty, more crime and more illiterate Rat party voters who think a government check is the way you make it in America.MikeDamone said:Besides the USA that allows people to storm their border by the millions and then disperse around the nation.

Border control is definitely a winning issue for the republicans but the RINOs in charge of the party are all in for cheap labor for their crony capitalists paid for by US welfare and tax dollars.MikeDamone said:

At some point, citizens are going to get fed up and start shooting border crossers.

Team Bill Gates will make that a much more manageable number.SFGbob said:

Sweden did the equivalent for a good chunk of the 2010s, it turned out great if you’re into ‘police no go zones’, ‘gangs’, and other exciting political issues

I know someone who is a major player in state politics. Diehard conservative Republican. In charge of a powerful lobby for a long time, son was a congressional aide for a big GOP congressman, etc. He represents farm interests. Falls in line with every classic conservative viewpoint, except for immigration, where you’d think he was Cesar Chavez - due to obvious reasons.WestlinnDuck said:Border control is definitely a winning issue for the republicans but the RINOs in charge of the party are all in for cheap labor for their crony capitalists paid for by US welfare and tax dollars.

Duolingo data on which language is the one people are trying to learn the most in each country. Sweden and Ireland are the two countries where their own language is the most popular. Most people learning Irish are English speakers trying to reconnect with their formerly banned culture.LoneStarDawg said:Sweden did the equivalent for a good chunk of the 2010s, it turned out great if you’re into ‘police no go zones’, ‘gangs’, and other exciting political issues

Cesar Chavez hated illegals. You know that, right?RatherBeBrewing said:

The National Guard by charter is a State commanded militia. I’ve maybe missed some bs ruling sometime, somewhere? But Why aren’t our Southern border states not using them? Feds withholding funds? I don’t get it.MikeDamone said:Besides the USA that allows people to storm their border by the millions and then disperse around the nation.

It’s amazing he managed to squeeze that in and still fight in 120 professional boxing matches.
You’re mostly right. Bad example, because my person obviously doesn’t want unionization, but also that. In any case, it would be odd to see a group be so inline on everything else but then diverge so vehemently but they business model depends on it and us taxpayers wind up subsidizing it. Chavez was right about them depressing wages, and unscrupulous employers are a responsible party who have very little incentive to hire citizens or legal residents. -

Illegal immigration was first an issue in the 90's under Clinton. The giant sucking sound of NAFTA had been passed and the working man base needed a bone. It of course has nothing to do with America being a land of immigrants who are always welcome but there are rules like anywhere else which is the point of this thread
If you beamed in here in 2015 you would think that its about Mexicans and racism because that's the narrative.
E verify came into being in the 90s and this white guy had to do it with everyone in the company. Had to e verify to even enter the Bremerton base to over see a flooring job at a new dorm. Everyone we sent on site had to e verify. As a long time construction guy this is why the issue mattered to me
Construction was where a slacker could end up making nice money or even get a company to call his or her own without a hundred grand of student loan debt. Illegals or more exactly, the people who hire them, depress wages and those savings are not passed along to you
At any rate our first experience in Seattle was with our Uranian brothers who came here after the fall of the SU. Tile was becoming bigger and bigger and the Uranians had been doing tile since the Romans. Hard work and great quality. We had to verify and in the process discovered a sub who was running a company store out of his house with non documented workers and exploiting the fuck out of them.
Quite honestly my first concern is protecting wages for Americans of all races. But I actually do care about the explotation of illegals which has only got worse over 20 years. Because the border has remained open it is now focused on Central Americans and Mexicans
But even here in North Mexico most legal Mexican Americans have my view on illegals.

My favorite argument is wait til the climate change refugees start coming. Okay I'll wait.
We can militarize the border and shoot on sight
Supporting illegal immigration is really only a white leftist thing. Black people aren't down. Latinos aren't down -
Thanks, I was well aware but not what I was what I was asking. You said “He was also an American. Not an immigrant” and I asked you if being an immigrant precludes you from being an American, since that is the implication of that sentence. I was just curious if that was your opinion or if it was a literacy issue where you meant to say native born or something along those lines. No need to answer, I don’t care and I was just being a dick.MikeDamone said:

I don't trust anyone born in Arizona. You're supposed to be born in Canada then move to Hawaii and THEN grow up in AZ.MikeDamone said:
