A pole right now is worthless. I look forward to the two of them debating. And voters deciding. In the end my money is on DeSantis appealing to a larger segment of GOP voters that will overwhelm Trump’s base that will never leave him.Sledog said:

trump had more votes last election than any incumbent in history and that's not counting those they flipped to Slow Joe. He still draws massive crowds. He's very much a thing and wields more political power than anyone in the country at the moment. Could change. But doubtful. DeSantis was not in the 2016 field. The non-fervent Trump supporters will be up for grabs. Along with independents and moderate DIMS. DeSantis will be a very appealing option for them.

Trump is a POS with hardly any filter. One of the reasons I didn't vote for him in 2016 and because I didn't trust him on policy. Trump said Cruz's dad helped kill JFK. Talked about Rubio's small hands. Trump won't have any real policy differences with DeSantis and he will just start flicking sh*t and hope something sticks. None of that is a good look. DeSantis will just make Trump look petty, vicious and small. Bad for Trump's legacy and if he does get the nomination more alienated housewives.
