    If we had controlled our own Southern border as a sign of the importance of national sovereignty, that might have impressed Putin. If a feckless leader and his party won't defend their own country that sure seems like a signal that they aren't interested in a border thousands of miles away.

    Germany’s new plan is to wean themselves off Russian gas by 2030. They were more than willing to split the costs of a second gas pipeline. They are worried about lost jobs, if the Russians declared war they’d be negotiating their terms of surrender before Putin even finished his sentence.

    The survey below is a bit dated, it’s from 2014. All it asked is if you’re willing to fight for your country, which could mean fighting overseas and not necessarily defending your country.



    The US was at 44% in that Gallup poll. A very recent poll asked Americans what they would do if the US was being attacked like Ukraine. 55% would stay and fight while 38% would leave. Skewed by people 55 and over, more people under 34 would leave rather than fight.

    The Western world has been, for lack of a better word, pussified. We wouldn’t storm the beaches of Normandy in 2022, or drop anything on Japan other than some sanctions. We’d have McDonald’s institute the no fry zone and send Kamala Harris to Australia to explain how if Hirohito attacks them we would totally consider raising tariffs.
    It would also be interesting geographically which Americans would fight for their country.

    Best guesstimate is the blue pussies are within 50 miles up and down the Pacific coast. And the same on the Atlantic from Boston to DC.
