It's the telethon episode where George is supposed to get Danny Tartabull (and maybe somebody else from the Yankees?) to appear for Jerry's girlfriend but they never show up. IIRC George is bringing the players to the telethon but somebody cuts him off or flips him off on the road and George gets road rage and chases them for miles and they miss the telethon.

Pretty sure it's the same one where Kramer gets Jerry to cash his accumulated birthday checks from his grandmother and makes his grandmother bounce the old checks in the process.

LOL... that's right. I haven't seen that episode in probably 15+ years.

I've watched them all on Hulu a couple years ago and most of them on Netflix recently.

Did anyone mention that Johnson got that ring in 2001 beating my Yankees as the 116 game winners watched?

Randy and Junior were Yankee killers which was unique in Seattle

Don't forget Tom Paciorek. He beat the Yankees on back-to-back nights with walk off Home Runs

Sad that so many voted for Griffey. I moved to Seattle after he had left for Cincinnati, so I see it through different lenses. I have nothing good to say about him. He decided to leave at the prime of his career, and when he came back was nothing but a cancer for the team, helping getting Wakamatsu fired, then bailed on the team (and city) again. To me its clear he doesn’t give a shit for Seattle or the fans. Just a rich turd!

Obviously its Kemp but what about Spencer Haywood? Crushing trade for the young ReignMan in 1975.

Dennis Johnson. We got 36 games of Paul Fucking Wetsphal . Fuck Paul Westphal

Another trade that got me torqued as a kid was Gus Williams for Tim McCormick + Ricky Sobers

Tartabull trade was when we realized the M's were the minor league team for the rest of the league.

Most of those guys on that list wanted out. I think Payton was cool with staying and that trade worked out well.

Imagine being “devastated” when a pro athlete gets traded.

Ehh. Easy to say now. We had him for one year as a 19 year old rookie. I think everyone knew he'd be good, but not sure people were projecting him as a top-10 all time as you probably can do now.

I not much of a baseball fan and I was deployed in Bosnia when Junior left so I was kinda focused on other things like buying pirated CDs from Bosnians.

The only other one that comes close to hurting me was Payton but after the players strike in the mid-90s, I really didn’t give a fuck about the NBA.

I Was Deployed to Bosnia Superiority Guy.
