No one sensationalizes like the Brits. This was a Russian oligarch, but he was born in Ukraine so the headlines will say Ukrainian, doesn’t make a difference in the grand scheme of things. The guy’s mother is apparently still alive and kicking and is a diehard Soviet Commie and Putin supporter. A very wealthy one. In Russia, communists aren’t the same as Seattle/Portland/NorCal I-5 corridor commies. I don’t know how many people understand that. The communist party of Russia is actually more fascistic/nationalistic and only uses the ol’ hammer and sickle as a symbol of Russia’s imagined might. They would consider even a staunch Republican bastion like Idaho or Wyoming to be too liberal. -
