True. But still De Niro and Brando were never in the same film. And it Part II De Niro and Pacino are never in a scene together.dnc said:
The question was "greatest cast" not "most stars"?YellowSnow said:
Pacino, Duvall, DeNiro, Keaton, Caan, were not big stars pre Godfather. That came later.chuck said:A little picture series called The Godfather had some famous actors.
I'm annoyed right now because we watched a movie last week where we kept marveling at how many big stars were in. I can't remember what it was for the life of me.
Only Brando was the major star coming out of the gates.
I don't care if they were all unknowns, that's a chincredible cast.

They are still my most favorite films ever and even @creepycoug can't recite Godfather from heart like I can.
I just think there were other films that had a higher overall number of big acting names.
2. I've not conceded that just yet.
3. Then the pole needs to be restated so that GF 1 or 2 (don't care) comes out on top. Any pole that doesn't lead to that conclusion is like announcing that Cuog is better than UW because it produces better cheese. We? don't produce cheese and WTF cares?

Fishburne.
In addition to Martin Sheen and Dennis Hopper here, that's Scott Glenn in the black beret playing Lt. Colby.
Duvall.
Ford.
Brando.
Cynthia WOOD (not kidding) was not only a Playmate on the movie, she was actually Miss February 1973, and legit Playmate of the Year 1974. That alone puts AN over the top.

Heat
I think the big war movies from the 60s represent the peak of ensemble casts. Even the Dirty Dozen had Lee Marvin, Bronson, Telly, Sutherland, George Kennedy. Ernest Borgnine and Jim Brown.YellowSnow said:
