Dynamics GP is just the old Great Plains with a new GUI. Back in the day, Great Plains was the shiznit.Bob_C said:
The Dynamics cloud based one is pretty solid. If you are talking The Dynamics GP versions with applications or any of that bullshit then you will be adding a million 3rd party stuff on over the years to do shit that should be really simple, like API’s and excel reporting. Don’t do the GP stuff in my opinion.PurpleThrobber said:
Dynamics is solid especially for financials and distribution. Stuff like project accounting, field service or manufacturing there are better options out there. But straight buy shit/sell shit - winner.Pitchfork51 said:
Oh dynamics bc. Easy as shit no custom work involved. Half the budget life is good.PurpleThrobber said:

More concerned about the erp implementation
Good partner but damn they are a bit slow. They are used to clients with a ton of bullshit nonsense. But we've known for a year before what we wanted to do so designed it that it was easy to transition. Get to spend more of the budget on onsite training which is quite nice.
I owe our more operational focused consultant a beer. Dude knows what's up and has a great life.
It really is quite nice working with squared away people that know their shit and are cool.
Don't ever fucking mess with the source code though. You'll hate yourself down the road.
Of all the ones that I’ve played in, best out of the box one is JD Edwards or Netsuite.
Then Microsoft bought it and didn't do shit with it for years.
Doug Bergum made a mint and waltzed off to be governor of North Dakota.
