Just read The White Sniper. It's about Simo Haya Finn sniper in the winter war with Russia 1939-1940. Dude killed over 500 Russians. That's confirmed count, It's estimated he killed 3 times that many. He sniped and also ambushed small squads of Russians with his submachinegun. Bad ass MOFO. He was a farmer and hunter trapper as well as a competition rifle shooter. Knew about this guy forever book was dry but shed some light on his background. He was eventually hit by an exploding bullet that tore half his face off. He survived and lived a long time.
Russians didn't like it last time they fought. Huge bounty on this guys head during the war. The Winter War left 25,904 Finns dead. The Soviets lost at least 126,875 soldiers.
