How this plays out...

Biden needs this but frankly, I don't think he knows what he's getting into. The liberal media and the Biden administration think that we can punish Russia with severe sanctions and Vlad won't respond. There is a limit. At some point, we will get sucked right into this thing and it's gonna get ugly. I have no faith this administration knows what they're doing.

It will likely be cyber against us and possibly the most serious we've ever seen. This is how world wars start. Maybe biden was right when he was talking about a dark winter of death. Winter is not over.

Russia needs at least 500,000 to realistically occupy Ukraine. Even then, they'd have to fight a Chechen style war. That didn't go well for them. It was stupid to invade, and I don't know how well this is going to work out for them.

According to political analyst Boris Epshsteyn, there isn't tons of support amongst the Russian people for this invasion.

They're cremating their own soldiers on the battle field so that Russians back home don't see all the bodies coming back.

Throughout history with people like putin you can't apply logic. The only consistency is the desire to rule, own, dominate. Putin is clearly not going to stop at Ukraine. The numbers were clearly not in hitlers favor but he did what all putin and hitler types do, he overplayed his hand. Logic was not a factor.

In modern history the constant is Europe's behavior of doing nothing in the face of obvious danger and cuddling up to evil dictators..

History just keeps on repeating itself over and over and over again. We have seen this movie more than once. The same people types and countries doing the same fucking things. The more things change the more they stay the same.

Putin will have to be stopped but this time there is no strong leader or country to force any change. It certainly isn't the USA, our armed forces have skirt wearing men and an 80 year old commander in chief who was actually in bed with the Russians and got paid for it. A guy who ridiculously boasted that putin was afraid of him. We are now a nation full of woke pussies who hate their country. Anyone over 40 have any confidence in the younger generation signing up to fight evil? Me either.

NATO? name one thing NATO has done that strikes fear into any dictators heart.

Putin is renewing history. The world gets fat and happy. Self centered, lazy and local. A crazy despot clearly sees the opening and takes it only to meet a violent end by the lazy and narcissistic populace who hopefully and finally snap out of it and realize what is happening. They learn their lesson for 50 years and renew investment in armaments and readiness because they remember there are bad guys out there. Slowly the memory dies off and you start getting fat and lazy again and turning your armed forces into a politically woke organization and the whole thing starts all over again.

Someone in Europe is going to have to step up and I have zero clue who that is going to be.

It will have to be a Brit or a German. France is France and NOGAF about any of the other countries.

What’s Putins long play in this? Russian people are against the invasion, and Ukrainians aren’t about to give up. At this point I’d like to see how the pro Russian folks in Crimea think about the situation- pretty certain even they would be against the aggression.

So when this results in a standstill, or Poland, Czech Republic, and other former Soviet states get involved does Putin escalate? He doesn’t appear to be the type who will tuck tail and head back to the Kremlin. In his soul Putin is a mobster, and they don’t like to show weakness knowing someone else is in the wings.

Putin distracted the West with his Just the Tip statements about what he was about to annex. All the while, positioning his troops so he could attempt to topple the entire country. Is this a distraction while he allies with Xi?

Just hope we’re not playing checkers while he plays chess. Of course with the folks we have in the White House it’s more like finger painting. One of my biggest fears is Russia and China’s willingness to play in the cyber hacking world. More and more business in the world being done via Internet based apps. We saw what happened in the US when Colonial Pipeline was shut down- what happens when hackers take control of state and local government networks for ransom ware or other means?

Again, this is the long game, Putin knows the value of patience. And my guess is he’s looking for a knee jerk reaction to make his move.

My pure guess is the Germans won't do shit because of energy: 50% of it coming from Russia. It will be up to the Brits. Like always.
