Why is a black man who grew up in the the city that was the epicenter of the slave trade, whose great grandparents were slaves, who lived in Jim Crow and segregation, who was homeless at one time, who helped found a Black Student Union and participated in the civil rights movement, who attended an Ivy League school and eventually became a Supreme Court Justice one of the most hated men in America by the left?

It’s because he became a free thinker, rejected the victimhood mentality that the left peddled to black people (if you don’t vote for Biden, you ain’t black), escaped their plantation of grievance and identity politics, and rose up as a man and not subject to the whims of white leftists politicians who use blacks to hang onto power and control.

Why he doesn’t have schools named after him all over the country is all you need to know. The left is threatened by him. A free thinking black man threatens their power and their very existence.

    It’s really disgusting.

Because he got into that Ivy League school because of affirmative action and then went on to always rule against it.

“I got mine, fuck everyone else” doesn’t make you a free thinker, it makes you an asshole.
So Thomas and Scalia were the top thinkers on the Supreme Court for decades and with Scalia gone, that leaves Thomas as the top Constitutionalist on the Court. Actually reading the document does make you a free thinker. Deciding that you are don't need to do so makes you a fascist and an asshole. If you can't figure out that making a movie critical of a political candidate isn't covered by the First Amendment, you have no claim to free thinking, it gives you a claim for a fascist speech suppressor.

I don't know, but I am sure there is some 20 something year old white guy in Seattle with an unkempt beard at a hipster cafe who went to a liberal arts school and is $200K in student debt with a shitty history degree who can probably explain it to you.

I know this is hard to hear but your champion for black people being able to succeed because racism stopped existing after the civil rights movement admits he only got in because of affirmative action.

When Thomas applied to Yale Law School, his race was taken into consideration. He wrote in his book, "I asked Yale to take that fact into account when I applied, not thinking that there might be anything wrong with doing so."

Affirmative action for me but not for thee.

Gets into Yale, becomes a Supreme Court justice. “Net loss”. Christ.
