Wonder how Ddy spends his free time now or if he’s got alt accounts everywhere to lurk?
They were all over this place for so long and maybe bdtw took the wind outta their sails. -

One of the "insiders" teased some big recruiting news today that could shift the balance of power in the PNW. Turns out we poached some intern from their recruiting department and gave him a ton of money to be an analyst. A massive circle jerk ensued until @sonics1993 dropped in to shit on the news and called it a nothingburger. The discord is quickly reaching Doogman 2.0 status.

Those guys got real big heads quite quickly, mostly I just liked the Twitter aggregation. I lurked but didn’t post over there. The quality of rumors is no better or more accurate than Dawgman or Twitter sleuthing for the most part. Meh.
Kind of cracked me up they ran it for like a month before trying to add extra content no one asked for and monetizing it. Hard pass.
Makes one appreciate this place more. Derek has always been up front about the costs that it takes to run this place, but has never asked for anything other than donations. -
Also miss me with the “we know more than the dawgman guys and will have all the rumors first,” argument.
At best Acrop, Sonics, Coach V are slightly more well informed than the dawgman dolts. The “being first” aspect of why people should be interested in paying is ridiculous. Anything they post on their “insider channel”, will be at Dawgman and here within a few hours at worst, probably quicker. It’s the internet and they aren’t the KGB. -
Imagine being so pathetic that you crave news of Stump Van Nostrum's official visit to a 4-win program with no NIL program so badly that you're willing to pay $8 a month for it just to read it a day at most early.

I have so much money. I have fuck you and fuck me money. Where do I send my $8?

Does Acrop actually ever post anything that someone would consider “insider info”?Edwin_Bambino said:Also miss me with the “we know more than the dawgman guys and will have all the rumors first,” argument.

I don’t think so. He’s a well informed fan that scours Twitter and reports back. He’s also a bit of a groupie/jersey chaser and sometimes gets some info from the players.CFetters_Nacho_Lover said:

This could all be bullshit, but there are very, very few actual insiders. -
Just cryptic stuff with no info. The best "insiders" are almost always people with low post counts who post something very specific that actually comes true.CFetters_Nacho_Lover said:

Self-styled insiders who constantly promote their knowledge can never live up to the rep. Sonics being an exception IMO. -

Some of it is so fucking stupid. I remember when Bush was our OC and everyone wanted him fired. Posters were asking Sonics what he had heard. There were four games left in the season. Use some logic and realize Pete wasn’t going to talk about it inside the building to other coaches with four games left.Tequilla said:

not really. he usually makes cryptic posts with no details or chimes in last minute when other outlets have already broken the news. When he does go out on a limb and drops a rumor, he's hitting well below the Mendoza line. It's hilarious that he's developed a cult following among both the doogman and discord crowds without ever breaking anything noteworthy. maybe Jen should hire him to the marketing department.CFetters_Nacho_Lover said:

This is what I thought. I don’t follow him on Twitter but he seems to be the king of dropping hints of rumors that never pan out and Doogs love it. He in turn, seems to love their attention.insinceredawg said:

He commented on Eklund's recruiting blog that he agrees that Ioane and Dunn will both end up Huskies.CFetters_Nacho_Lover said:

When you're sharing news after Eklund, you know you're down bad. -
It's so sad when he, Fleenor, or Sonics comment on that discord and everybody kisses their ass and begs them to post more.insinceredawg said:

If it helps send the LPT to the bread line then good for them, quite honestly.
-
It’s not. Dawgman will never fold. They got in at the right time and place and people are mostly too lazy and don’t care to look elsewhere.biak1 said:If it helps send the LPT to the bread line then good for them, quite honestly.
