Not only is he hustling but he seems to be landing recruits, including via the portal, in areas of specific needs. He is getting a bunch done in a short period of time.RaceBannon said:DeBoer could have been boating on Lake Washington because you can't expect him to get any recruits just getting hired and we were 4-8 and Jimmy and stuff
It is impressive that he is hustling. I follow Bama and Saban twitter and Nick is busting ass out there. Any coach who isn't should be fired immediately
Sure, he has to develop them but there are no indications that he cant. -

There was. Even last fall camp, Otton and others were talking about this being the best camp yet.TheHB said:
Probably, but I don't recall a lot of this when Lake took over. Maybe I've just whitewashed (not in a racist way) it from my recent memory, but if anything, it seemed like all we heard was Jimmy's continuing the Petersen path (which was bullshit, allegedly).whatshouldicareabout said:
Meh. This is just classic confirmation bias. It's telling because we want it to be telling. But these exact comments are made by players every single time there's a regime change. Sometimes they're telling, sometimes they're not. Time will tell.GrundleStiltzkin said:
Either way it will be interesting. -
Sounds like a guy trying to convince himself that he made the right decision coming back for another year.WilburHooksHands said:

Better to stay, finish the degree, get a free car or two, still be important and get blowies from the coxswains, and actually start working out again and learning a real offensive system.TheHB said:

Otton can be great, but he had a disappointing season and didnt look NFL TE ready at all.
All he has to do is call up his buddy Hunter Bryant and find out how quickly things can go to shit in the NFL. -
But ... he gone. I think he was probably a mid-round pick after '20 and that's probably where he'll end up going in the draft after last season irregardless. So he probably missed out on the cars, but I'm sure he did very well with the coxswains.Houhusky said:

how the fuck do you get in trouble for "recruiting violations" in todays NCAA, how much of an incompetent retard do you have to be?GrundleStiltzkin said:
The bottom half of the Pac12 is such a dumpster fire, If Deboner doesn't win 8+ games he sucks.
Kent, Portland, Stanford, @ASU, Arizona, @Cal, OSU, Colorado, @WSU is soooo fucking easy. -
Didn't read (lulz) but I think this has to do with ASU having the temerity to continue recruiting during a GLOBULL PANDEMIC.Houhusky said:

Listen to the audio. DeBoner is an adult. Lake is not. It’s clear we have a mature CEO running the program again. Just wish he had more experience. Gonna take a few years.whatshouldicareabout said:

At least he didn't promise 70,000 at Husky Stadium for the spring game. Covid spared Jimmy from his first embarrassment before the Montana game and real embarrassment.Neighbor2972 said: -

I’m not expecting a natty, but with the portal we should contend fairly quickly. DeBoer and Grubb know what they are doing on offense and I feel Morrell has potential as a DC. DeBoer has made every offense he has touched better.Beno4Life said:

Inge is solid too, but just seems like more of a soldier and experienced eyes and ears than a true DC.
Recruiting and the AD doing what it takes to win are the big issues. We don’t need a ton of star recruits but we have to close the ones we have a chance on to put us over the edge. -
