I remember when high gas prices, a botched FP in the Middle East, and a “long cold winter” speech destroyed Carter’s presidency.
And Jimmy, for all his failings as an executive, was always a decent, honest human being.
The level at which people will bend their knee to this dishonest, incompetent, cancerous and corrupt executive is fucking mind-blowing in that context, especially given the results we have in front of us, only 12mo in to his absurd presidency.

I think the most inclusive message would just have been that although the limit for shoplifters is technically under $1000, if people kept it to $400 or so, then there would be enough for everyone.Bob_C said: -
