Not sure why anyone is saying Staley screwed up by calling timeout. The Raiders were not sitting on the ball, and, in fact, were lined up in the shotgun for 3rd down prior to the timeout being called. Also, the Raiders would have had to play at KC if it was a tie. Instead, they travel to Cincinatti thanks to the win. The Raiders had all the incentive in the world to win the game and were trying to do so.

That's not what the Raiders said

They told the Chargers they were going to take a knee

    Who was quoted saying that?

I've never seen anyone take a knee out of the shotgun. If the Raiders were thinking about their options they also had timeouts remaining. I can't imagine how the SD timeout made a difference. Seemed pretty clear that they were trying to advance the ball since they didn't take knees on the prior snaps.

As discussed on the broadcast Oakland didn't want to risk a block or a miss giving San Diego the ball with any time

When Stayley called the time out Oakland said fuck it we'll kick

    Whoops!

Although, not sure what would have indicated that to Staley since the Raiders were running actual plays to gain yardage.

On top of that, the time out didn't do anything for the Chargers. Either call them all if you think you'll stop them and try to score, or don't call them, let time run out and go to the playoffs.

Of course this was also the genius who went for it on 4th down at his own 18 in the 3rd quarter.

As we rapp it up without Rapp tonight I like the road warrior Cards over the Rams and Stafford

Pittsburgh, Philly, and the Patriots might as well have stayed home

Las Vegas got called for 27 holding penalties

Dallas is who we thought they were

Buffalo went 7 for 7 on TDs and the Mahomes threw 5 TDs in 10 minutes setting up the game of next weekend

Also the Niners and the Pack

I have some very strong opinions on what you said here … some of it I’m not 100% sure I want to completely elaborate on

I need to think about if I want to publicly put out some of the info I’ve heard the last few hours and connecting the dots on what I think happened

    I will keep you poasted.

I've seen two games where McVey ran down the field into the endzone to congratulate the QB and wideout and to make sure everyone knew he drew up the play.

Waiting for him to run out and congratulate Stafford for throwing a game losing pick 6
