Back when Don James got paid $250,000 in the early 90s and coaches stayed at the same school for the most part, the kids had nothing to bitch about.BleachedAnusDawg said:The kids are just copying the adults and asking for leftovers.

Moore's Law and cable ruined everything. -
The KidzFuck them kids
-
The KidzWe need a REAL national championship
I rest my case -
The Grown UpsIt was a group effort. Media, NCAA, College Pres, ADs, Coaches and the kidz. They all share in the blame.
ATBS, just be a fan of Georgia like me where they buy players and there is no problem. National Champs baby! -
The Grown Upsthe longhorn network.

The Grown UpsWould all be solved by a football G league if you sign your rights away at 18. You think you're a hotshot? K cool make the NFL draft them coming out of HS. Not sure? Great come get an education and an experience and maybe still play NFL 4 years later.
I could care less about watching the top few % of talent if it means the kids play for rival schools from one year to the next -

Was it the kids agitating for a REAL national championship? Split Natties = more rings for mor kidz. I would think they would have preferred the status quo.RaceBannon said:We need a REAL national championship

The Grown UpsThe morons that make the decisions of course. NFL had it good, but the morons in charge could not figure out a way to funnel some money keep all the nonsense from happening. They had the best amateur league in the world that was FREE. Just bad business decisions on their part

Other than Jimmy's historically bad team, seemed pretty entertaining to me.YellowSnow said:
I don't watch the other conferences, maybe they sucked ass? Truck stops nonetheless. -
The Grown UpsI voted grownups because that's what that stupid bitch Barbara Hedges was when college football was ruined from my perspective. Before she fucked it up, college football was the greatest thing in the world.
Then she shit on it and everything has been on a downhill slide for 30 fucking years.
All the rest of this shit going on is just a continuation of the events she triggered.
All of it.
I don't give a shit if it isn't really all her fault. I'm blaming her anyway. -
Phil Knight. The guy who acts like he cares while sipping a cocktail of Vietnamese kid's life fluid on a stack of money. The billionaire is always the sociopath.

The Grown UpsThe root cause problem here is these motherfuckers at ESPN, the conferences, the school administrators – all these assholes – think they own college football like any other piece of property. They long ago quit seeing themselves as trustees of beloved public institutions. They sit in those fancy ass offices, collecting big checks on their fat asses, thinking they got there through their own hard work.
To those fucktards, it's always about the money – in their own goddamn pockets. They're retards and grifters. Absolutely fucking up something that the players, coaches, and fans – the only people who really matter to the sport – care deeply about. I understand this enterprise takes money but I don't give a shit if they ever renovated Husky Stadium. If they were an elite program playing Georgia for the national title, I'd go watch them on a wood bleacher at Memorial Stadium.
This problem is in a lot of our public life right now. These bureaucrats think it's theirs to do with as they see fit. This game belongs to the players, coaches, and fans. Everybody else is secondary. They *expect* us to support them – no matter what. We're feudal serfs in their eyes. These idiots don't realize that the only way this thing thrives long term is if they turn their org chart upside down. -

For us (?), Gerberding. ESPN and the money grab finished it off for everyone else…so, greedy, elitist adults
