Playing FR vs. Redshirt
Sounds like Coach Pete will play them if he feels they can make an IMPACT. Hopefully we won't see another Mathis scenario where the guy is out there to be out there.

We are closest to Michigan State in the development curve ... so in the grand scheme of things we should be RS at close to 80% or more.
However, attrition through players either leaving the program or to the NFL early will increase the need for younger players to play. This often is also covered by the fact that the players that you're recruiting are more of the "elite" players at that age group and available to come in and play right away. -

Not sure why I am responding to a weak troll attempt, but I didn't post this to bash Sark. In all honesty LB & secondary recruiting was one of his strengths. We went from having guys like Vonzell, Q, Tripper, and Mosley roaming our secondary, to athletes like Tru, Parker, and Peters. And people should be even more excited for the younger crew. I personally think King, Beaver and Kelly have All Pac 12 talent. Also, some people have written off Walker from fat guy practice reports, and some bash his offer list (hi Pup), but forget he was offered by Coach Pete. I will wait to see him live in a game because his TBS film he was a superb athlete with great hips.
Sark FAILED when it comes to recruiting both sides of the line, especially when you take a look at the Oline depth chart next year....
Also, he had a history of blowing guys RS for no apparent reason. See Mathis reference.
