Dude must have got a blood transfusion from Keith Richards. -
I love how ESPN said “unexpectedly died”…at least they skipped “tragically”…85 freaking years old! If I get to 85 (bet the under heavily), the only unexpected part will be waking up…he lived a good, successful life, RIP

If there’s anything that is unexpected, it’s dying.Fishpo31 said:I love how ESPN said “unexpectedly died”…at least they skipped “tragically”…85 freaking years old! If I get to 85 (bet the under heavily), the only unexpected part will be waking up…he lived a good, successful life, RIP
We aren’t born with a Use By date.
Some writers are technically lazy with language.

Madden… Life on the road, Gravy, Football and Turducken

Maddens boy for years was Pat Sumerall. That dude knew his way around a bottle Roger Angell style. I’m sure JM got after it.JoeEDangerously said:

RIP to an Oregon Duck legend.
In addition to his tops all time NFL coaching record, and commentating career where he perfected penis drawing on national TV under the guise of diagraming plays John Madden had many other talents. He’s the inventor of video games as well as the Turducken and other lesser known stuffed fowl creations, like the Cornish Hummingcock and the Quailuude, in addition to being the world’s fastest man.

It sounds like Madden didn’t have the academically prowess to maintain a couch in Eugene. Don Coryell, the former assistant to our? John McKay. The non HoF coach who rode the arm of our? Dan Fouts?YellowSnow said:

I think he actually wanted to play baseball, and the Oregon baseball coach told him he was too fat. I’m being serious. Madden also said that watching film with Norm Van Brocklin made him decide to be a coach. I won’t claim him for Oregon, but I reserve future rights to claim Richie Incognito if he gets into the HoF. -
