    If Hef would have hung-up his spurs in his late 50s and settled down in the early 80s he would have went out as a legend. Instead, as his publishing empire declined, along with his personal wealth, he became nothing but pathetic dirty old man trying to keep it going by "dating" ever more skanky women and hammering fists full of Viagra.

    Hef was the height of cool in the late 50s to early 70s. By 1972 the handwriting was on the wall but he was still able to keep it going. He calls it quits in 1980 they'd be building statues of him.
