Probably put ketchup on their steak too. AnimalsWestlinnDuck said:
Lot's of tourists and business travelers at the high end Portland places. They gone. Our Des Moines headquarter people f'ing loved El Gaucho. But they ordered their steak medium to medium well and had a Bud Light. To each his own.Pitchfork51 said:Who the fuck is gonna open when everyone with money is working remote and they get robbed every day

That and not a lot of oysters on the half shell ordered. And don't mention the tuna tartare.MikeDamone said:

Someone has almost convinced me that Ribeyes are better medium than medium rare.MikeDamone said:

Due to the amount of fatty goodness it fully renders at medium
I'm not saying I got mine on Tuesday medium...but I could be convinced to try a blind taste test -
Medium on a rib eye works. Not a sin. I’m really only committed to fight for med rare on prime rib and filet. I don’t really care on other cuts. But no ketchup. That’s for pot roast.Pitchfork51 said:

Have the wife's birthday coming up. Usually head to downtown Portland and have a great steak at either El Gaucho or the Ringside. Went to El Gaucho in July this summer for our anniversary and although the meal was fine, the death vibe of the downtown overshadowed the whole experience. Will find a place in burbs and take it from there. Maybe head to Bos Taurus in Bend and hope I don't run into Snow.Sledog said:So open stores with tax money so ANTIFA can burn them down? Great plan!

From vacant stores to the best steak - sounds like a normal thread to me
I have only eaten at the Ringside - is that area of Portland screwed up? I thought the Pearl district was the area that got demolished -
I like to get my steaks at the Acropolis. That's what I like to do.

Haven't been to that area since the March 2020 lockdown. Burnside is the street that divides Portland between South and West. Ringside is on the Northwest side of Burnside about 22 blocks north of the Willamette River. The big action was around the federal court house area of downtown which is south of Burnside and only three blocks from the Willamette River. The homeless pop up everywhere. Don't really want to go find out. The El Gaucho experience was too depressing. Shouldn't be up to me to find out the current state of devastation of the various parts of Portland. Car break-ins and car thefts are endemic.LebamDawg said:From vacant stores to the best steak - sounds like a normal thread to me

I loaded up on Red Wine and Meat my last Costco trip, so I don't have to patronize a sheep barn restaurant full of liberal fags to enjoy a great meal.WestlinnDuck said:

I suggest you do the same.
No matter what they say, women love meat. The bigger, the better.

The Vancouver waterfront is going to be amazing when it’s fully completed. Just had lunch at Twigs Bistro today. Can’t wait for El Gaucho to arrive.MikeDamone said:
El Gaucho is coming to the Vancouver waterfront. Vancouver is going to take a big bite out of Portland’s ass in the next decade.WestlinnDuck said:
