Honestly, if the fans follow through I don't think it's a bad thing. One of the more impressive sights in college football is a Happy Valley white out. It beats the alternative of having 1/3 of the crowd wearing seahawks/sounder gear and northface jackets.

That is one aspect that invariably links UW student culture to UO student culture: the copious amounts of doing whatever (water is wet) drug. I haven't been to Eugene since football camp years ago but I'd imagine that sections of Eugene would somewhat resemble certain streets of the U-district.
